"going through it" only scratches the surface

I don’t know who needs to hear this but... you can put the phone down now.

We get it. The world is basically on fire. Your to-do list could double as a CVS receipt. And you’ve been clenching your jaw since 2021.

There’s so much noise.
So many people yelling on the internet.
So much pressure to keep up even though you don’t even know what you’re chasing anymore.

So let’s do something wild, .
Let’s take a minute to unclench—your brain, your body, your expectations, your life.

I’ve been feeling the pressure too lately (hello, full inbox and cortisol in my eyeballs), but I got this email from my coach Brendon Burchard the other day—and actually paused.

Like actually paused. Which says a lot.

He reminded me of a tool I used to love but totally forgot about:
The Release Meditation Technique.

And listen, I don’t care if you’re into meditation or not. This one hits.

Here’s how it works:
You sit your booty down, close your eyes, and just repeat one word over and over in your mind—Release.

That’s it.

Your job is to let go of the swirl.
The tension.
The tabs open in your brain.

Every time your mind wanders—back to your Slack messages, your family group chat, the weird noise your fridge is making—you gently, lovingly pull it back to one word:

Release.

And you keep doing it. For 10 minutes. Or 5. Or even 2.

You’re not failing at life. You’re just overdue for a damn exhale.

The first time I did it this week, I felt my shoulders drop a full inch. The noise softened. My nervous system exhaled like it had been waiting for this moment since February.

No joke, this practice is now part of my "don’t lose your damn mind" routine.

Because here’s the thing—your nervous system isn’t a machine.
Your energy is not a renewable resource if you never let it recharge.
Peace isn’t something that shows up when your inbox is empty and your house is clean. (LOL. Like, when does that ever happen?)

Peace is a practice.
And this one’s free. Simple. Doable. And weirdly profound.
